Self-catering House Rentals

The house is available for weekly rentals and can accommodate up to 7 people. The house is only available between April and October of each year. Prices are in Canadian dollars. Please go to www.xe.com for currency conversion.

Summer: (June, July and August)
$550/week for 1-2 people
Each additional person: $100 per week

Spring and Fall: (April – May and September – October)
$450/week for 1-2 people
Each additional person: $75 per week

How to place a reservation

Availability and Reservation hold

Consider your rental dates, keeping in mind that arrivals and departures are on Saturdays and the minimum stay is one week. Check out our availability calendar. Phone or email us to confirm availability for your rental. We will respond within 48 hours and hold your reservation for 14 days. If your dates are unavailable on the calendar, contact us just in case we have an opening or a cancellation.

Confirm your reservation and pay the deposit

Confirming your reservation can be done online or offline. In either case, the booking form and deposit must be received within 14 days of our confirming your rental hold. The deposit is $250 for one week, $500 for two or more weeks.

To pay by cheque, print and fill out the reservation form and send it with your deposit cheque. Cheques should be made payable to French Farmhouse Holidays. (Prices are in Canadian dollars, but if you wish to pay in American dollars, please contact us first.)

Payment and Booking conditions

Upon receipt of your reservation form and deposit, we will send you an invoice which will indicate the total cost of the accommodation less the initial deposit. Payment in full must be received 3 weeks prior to your arrival at the property. If not received by this time, the booking will be cancelled and the deposit forfeited. If the booking is made less than 3 weeks before your arrival, payment in full is required.

Supplementary charges

  • We do not charge a security deposit, but we do request that you treat the house as you would your own home. Any breakages, damage or excessive cleaning required after your stay will be charged to you.
  • Telephone – there is a telephone that you may use. We ask that you purchase a telephone card (available at any kiosk, bar or tabac) and use it for all calls. All calls in France including local calls are charged by the minute.
  • Utilities/heating - clients will be charged for any extra electrical use over and above the base rate (8 kWh/day) which is included in the rental rate.

Cancellation policy

Once received, payments are non-refundable. We recommend the purchase of trip cancellation insurance as protection. In the event you must cancel and do not have insurance, we will make every effort to rebook the house. If we are able to do so, you will receive a refund less our expenses.

Information package

After receiving the balance of your rental fee, we will send you a full information package which will explain the location of the keys, directions for reaching the property and general information about the house and the region. We are always happy to help you with any additional information you may desire about the area.
